Specified technical installations and equipment are pressure, gas, electrical, lifting and transport installations and equipment as well as installations and equipment for the protection against the effects of atmospheric and static electricity and protection against the negative effects of reverse traction currents, which are subject to special supervision.
Legislation providing for specified technical installations and equipment subject to special supervision:
- Act No. 266/1994 Coll., the Railways Act, as amended (provisions of Sections 47 and 48)
- Decree No. 100/1995 Coll., laying down conditions for the operation, design and manufacture of specified technical installations and equipment and their specification (Regulations for Specified Technical Installations and Equipment)
- Decree No. 16/2012 Sb., providing for the professional competence of persons driving railway vehicles and vehicles operated using other guided transport systems and of persons making inspections, examinations and tests of specified technical installations and equipment and amending Decree of the Ministry of Transport No. 101/1995 Coll., issuing the Regulations for the medical fitness and professional competence of persons involved in infrastructure management and transport by rail and using other guided transport systems, as amended.
